Radnor, PA / Wayne, PA - Fourth-seeded Marywood University withstood a power outage and a change of fields mid-game before falling 2-1 to top seeded Cabrini College in a heartbreaking Colonial States Athletic Conference semifinal Wednesday. Trailing 1-0 late in the game, Marywood rallied to tie the game with 3:06 remaining on a header from Angela Heydt, but Cabrini scored on a header of their own with 22 seconds remaining in regulation to end the Pacers' postseason run.

After a scoreless first half, a power outage on the campus of Cabrini College caused a delay just after the second half kickoff. An hour and a half long delay forced play to move to the YSC fields in nearby Wayne, home of the Philadelphia Union's training facility.

Cabrini out-shot the Pacers 10-5 in the opening half but Marywood's Victoria Pezdirtz made seven stops to keep the game scoreless.

With each team generating several scoring chances early in the second half at the new field, it would be the Cavaliers who struck first in the 69th minute.  Cabrini ended the stalemate when Taylor Tralie found CSAC Player of the Year Dana Peterson on a direct kick from the left corner to make it 1-0.  Peterson one-timed a volley past Pezdirtz who made a diving effort and got a piece of the ball but not enough to prevent the goal.

Pushing their attack late in the game and with time winding down, Marywood's Emily Osborne generated a corner kick opportunity and took the set play herself.  With 10 players foward, Osborne's service found Heydt's head at the near post about eight yards out.  Heydt's header found the upper 90 netting to level the game at 1-1.

Not to be out-done, Cabrini kept pressing for the winner.  With under 30 seconds remaining, Meghan Martin took a feed down the left flank and sent in a cross which found the head of a streaking Taylor Tralie who headed home the game-winner with :22 left.

Pezdirtz finished with a game-high 11 saves, several of which were spectacular.  Alivia Dietsch made seven stops for the Cavaliers.

Wednesday's semifinal marked the end of the careers for six Marywood seniors.  Heydt and co-captain Alixandria Fiore played in their final games as did Osborne, Carly Kliment, Jordan Salgado and Krista Capelli

The Cavaliers advance to the CSAC championship to face #2 Centenary College Saturday at a time to be determined.  Cabrini will be in search of their fourth straight CSAC tilte, while the Cyclones will be looking for their first title since 2010.
