Scranton, PA - The Marywood University men's and women's swimming and diving teams posted their first Landmark Conference victories of the 2014-15 campaign Saturday against Drew University at the Aquatics Center. The Pacers men's squad won by a score of 133-55. The Marywood women's swimming team downed Drew 118-74. Both teams are 1-1 in conference action.

Alex Martino anchored a come-from-behind victory in the final leg of the men's 400 medley relay. Trailing by a tenth of a second, Martino outraced his opponents by 2.24 seconds to lead he, Eddie Sanborn, Zack Haney and Chard Howley to a victory in a time of 4:01.31.

Blake Burlingame notched two victories in the sprint events. Burlingame took the 50 free in 22.57 seconds and won the 100 free in 51.19 seconds.

Jason Beabout claimed the 200 free in a time of 1:52.08. He clocked in at 5:04.49 to take gold in the 500 free. Dan Adam registered first in the 200 IM (2:08.52) and 100 back (58.21 seconds).

Haney touched first in the 100 fly at 57.02 seconds and the 100 breast in 1:06.7.

Virginia Cobb was the lone multi-race winner for the Marywood women. Cobb provided a first-place finish in the 200 free in 2:05.89 and garnered the top spot in the 500 free at 5:46.52.

Marywood swept the top three spots in the men's and women's 1,000 free races. Ashley Foltz touched the wall first in 12:21.02, and Bryon Scholl swam a 10:50.35 for first.

After missing first by just a hundredth of a second (26.73) in the 50 free, Julissa Quezada cruised to a 1:06.55 finish in the 100 fly for the quickest time.

Jordan Jessup was the race winner in the 100 back at 1:08.44. Kim Peterson provided the team with nine points for her first place showing in the 200 IM at 2:25.14.

Marywood took both 400 free relay races. The women's relay of Cobb, Quezada, Valerie Barlow and Peterson raced to a 3:57.78 finish. Beabout, DJ Boyer, Brian Shanahan and Adams won their race by over 32 seconds in 3:29.11.

The Pacers have little time to dry with a short turnaround before hosting Cabrini College Sunday at 1:00 pm.
