Newburgh, NY - Tyler McDine had a game-high 20 points as host Mount Saint Mary College picked up their second win of the season with a 80-73 victory over Marywood University Tuesday evening in non-conference men's basketball action. Connor Callejas had a team-high 13 points as the Pacers fell to 5-2 on the year. 

The Knights (2-7) jumped out to a 8-0 lead to open the game, and led by as many as 12 with 6:33 to go in the first half before Marywood, who has had over a week layoff because of finals, slowly climbed back into the game. 

Over the next six minutes, the Pacers out-scored the Knights 21-8 and eventually took a 41-40 lead with :29 left in the opening stanza when Jeremy Ringland nailed a three pointer.  With no more scoring before halftime, Marywood would go into the locker room holding that one point lead.

A pair of three's from Connor Callejas and Ringland would give Marywood a 47-42 lead early in the second half, andthe Pacers would hold the lead until the 12:38 mark when a pair of Connor Nicholson free throws for the Knights tied the game at 55-55.

Nicholson would then nail a jumper to give the hosts a 57-55 lead at the 11:47 mark, and after Kellaher tied the game over a minute later the hosts would go up 60-57 on a three from Daniel Wolff with 10:03 remaining. 

Mount Saint Mary College would maintain their slim lead until a pair of freebies from Cameron Dean knotted the score at 64-64 with just over six minutes left, and two more points from Letthand from the charity stripe gave the Pacers a 64-62 lead with just over five and a half left.

The two teams traded leads over the next minutes, but with 2:33 to go the Knights out-scored the Pacers 10-3 down the stretch to pull out the seven point win.

Marywood also got double-digit point production from Shane Letthand (11 points) and Shane Kellaher (10 points) in the loss.

The Pacers return to action Friday when they travel to Lebanon Valley College.
