Fast Start Fuels Women's Basketball's Victory over Falcons

Box Score Allentown, PA - Marywood University put the wheels in motion with a 22-1 run to start the game en route to a 74-37 victory over Cedar Crest College Saturday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action. The Pacers' playoff hopes remain alive and well. With two games remaining on their regular season schedule, the Pacers (14-9, 9-5 CSAC) remain in fourth place and a game ahead of Keystone College (8-6) and Rosemont College (8-6). 

Ashley Murray led the Pacers with 14 points on a 6-for-10 outing from the field. Danielle Terranella returned to double digits with 13 points. Nora Joyce contributed 10 and three offensive rebounds. 

Maddie Lavery controlled the glass with seven boards. Brittany Mang tallied nine points and four assists. 

Marywood shot 48.5 percent from the field on 32-of-66 shooting, while holding Cedar Crest to 29.8 percent. The Pacers outrebounded the Falcons 41-25 and forced 14 turnovers. 

Carly Leitzel provided six rebounds. Alexa Gerchman added seven points.

The Pacers are staged for a paramount matchup with natural rival Keystone Monday in La Plume, Pa. at 6:00 pm. Marywood wraps its regular season with a home date with Centenary College Wednesday in the Pacers' Pink Game to raise funds for the Nadine Cenci Marchegiani Foundation.
