La Plume, PA – Marywood University clinched a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball playoff berth with a 78-62 victory over Keystone College Monday on the road. The Pacers trailed by as many 14 in the late stages of the first half before engineering a comeback in a game between two teams fighting for a playoff spot.

Danielle Terranella went off for a career-high 26 points on 11-for-16 from the field. Terranella added eight rebounds to her total.

Brittany Mang tallied 17 points and a season-high seven steals. Nora Joyce produced 10 points.

Alexa Gerchman brought down a game-high nine rebounds, seven points and five assists in a season-high 35 minutes. Ashley Murray scored nine points.

Marywood trailed 36-24 with 3:13 remaining in the first half before making a run at the Giants. The Pacers finished the frame on a nine-point run to go into the break behind by one possession.

The Pacers (15-9, 10-5 CSAC) stuck with the long ball successfully on three of four straight possessions to go ahead of the Giants (8-7, 14-10 CSAC) in the second half. Terranella drove the lane and one-timed a pass to Murray in the corner. Murray launched a three to bring Marywood to within one at 15:42 to play. Joyce tied it at 45-45 80 seconds later. Murray kept with the hot hand on a 3-pointer that gave the Pacers their first lead (48-45) of the second half with 13:33 to go. Marywood proceeded to go on a 20-2 run in the second stanza.

The Giants battled back to within eight points, 65-57, with 3:32 remaining when AAliya Hayes scored on a layup, but the hosts were unable to come any closer as the Pacers pulled away.

The Giants were unable to stay in line with the Pacers, thanks to Marywood's 16-for-19 (84.2 percent) performance from the charity stripe in the second half.

Marywood shot 45 percent from the field and made three-fourths of its free throws for the game. The Giants lived up to their name, outrebounding the Pacers by a 51-38 margin to cast a shadow on their 33.8 percent shooting effort.

Marywood was handcuffed on the offensive glass. The Pacers only came down with four offensive rebounds.

Keystone's AAliya Hayes scored 16 points. Alyssa Cuomo had 12, and Ashley Evans contributed 10. Jazmyn Robinson produced nine rebounds and six assists.

The Pacers leapfrogged into fourth due to a Gwynedd Mercy University (13-11, 10-5 CSAC) loss to top-seeded Cabrini College in overtime Monday night. Marywood narrowly defeated the Griffins in both meetings this season and will likely face either them or Rosemont College in the CSAC playoffs.

Marywood will host Centenary College Wednesday at 6:00 pm in the team's Pink Game to raise funds for the Nadine Cenci Marchegiani Foundation.
