Scranton, PA - A 25-3 run by visiting Neumann University keyed a second half comeback to lift the visiting Knights over host Marywood University 67-60 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action Thursday evening in Scranton.  Neumann had five players in double figures in improving to 14-6 (9-4 CSAC) with the win.  Marywood was led by Matt Tintle's team-high 13 points but fell to 7-13 (3-10 CSAC) with the loss.

Marywood opened the game with a 6-0 lead and was up 10-3 after limiting the Knights to 1 of 11 shooting to start the game, but an administrative technical was the difference in the first half as Marywood went into the locker room up 29-27 after a Neumann player entered the game despite not being in the official scorebook.  Tintle sank both of those freebies, along with two others on a one-and-one, to keep the hosts up a bucket.

The Pacers then extended their two-point lead after the break, going up 38-31, but the Knights charged back with a 25-3 run to claim the win.  Down seven with 15 to go, Neumann used a 6-0 run with only one minute coming off the clock to get back into it.  A traditional three-point play from Shane Kellaher gave Marywood a 41-37 lead, but that would be Marywood's only points until a Jonathan Velazquez three made it 56-44 in favor of Neumann with 7:30 to go.

The Knights eventually went up 18, 62-44, but a 10-0 run from the hosts made it 62-44 with 2:36 remaining.  Marywodo then got to within four, 64-60, on a Velazquez tip-in with 32.7 seconds left.  Neumann made a three free throws in the final 30 seconds and stole the ball with less than 10 seconds left to seal the win.

Along with Tintle's 13, Marywood got 11 point performances from Kellaher, Velazquez and Shane Letthand.  DeShawn Lowman led all scorers with 15 for Neumann.

Marywood returns to action Saturday with a trip to Centenary College in New Jersey. Game time is set for 4:00 pm.
