Immac Lights Out in Final Minutes to Down Pacers, 70-63

Immaculata, PA – A second half blackout swung the momentum in Immaculata University's favor, and the Mighty Macs capped a 15-2 run over the final three minutes to overtake Marywood University Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball. The Pacers led by six, following a pair of Morgann Haduck free throws, before the Mighty Macs assent.

Immaculata made four consecutive field goals and six consecutive free throws to engineer the comeback. Alison Zimney, held scoreless through 37 minutes, hit three consecutive baskets for seven points in a 1:40 span.

The Mighty Macs' Adriana Sciascia hit a jumper with 1:47 left to take the lead at 62-61. Following a Marywood turnover, Zimney hit her third basket of the night on a shot that hung over the front rim before sinking in. Marywood's only points came on an Ashley Murray layup to make it a one possession game at 66-63 with 27 seconds left.

The Pacers' Maddie Lavery notched her first double-double of her career with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Morgann Haduck reached double digits with 12 points.

Marywood returns to action Monday at The University of Scranton at 7:00 pm in the Long Center.
