Marywood Wins Quad-Match, Beats Scranton for First Time

Moosic, PA - Marywood's Devin Crowley finished with a 7-over par 78 to lead six Pacers in the top 10 as Marywood won it's own quad-match over opponents Scranton, King's and Baptist Bible College.  Playing five golfers with the top four scores counting towards team finish, Marywood finished with a 334 to edge Scranton for the first time in the Pacers three-year program history.  Scranton finished with a 339 while King's had a 357 and Baptist Bible a 404.  The Pacers improved to 10-2 on the season with the three wins.

Crowley finished two shots behind medalist Erik Meier from the University of Scranton.  The Royals' Charles Hudacek took third with a 82.  Marywood's Michael Thomas finished tied for fourth with teammate Willis Davenport, who was playing as an individual.  Both Pacers fired an 83.  Shamus Gartley led two Monarchs in the top 10 with a 84 for sixth place, tying with Marywood's John Lawless.

Ryan Hettes was the second Monarch in the top 10, finishing 8th with an 86.  Jordan Greve gave BBC their lone top 10 finish with a ninth place showign (88).  Dalton Deardorff and Paul Kania finished tied for 10th for the Pacers after both shot 89s.  Shane Davis, also playing as an individual for Marywood, finished in 14th place with a 91.

Marywood is slated to return to action Sunday and Monday as they take part in the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational in Moosic.
