Clarks Summit, PA - Hours after beating Immaculata University 9-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's tennis action Marywood University returned to the courts and edged Baptist Bible College 5-4.  Due to numerous postponements, Marywood was forced to play a "doubleheader" of sorts, hosting Immaculata at 3:00 pm then taking on the Defenders at nearby Birchwood Tennis Club in Clarks Summit at 8:30 pm.  Marywood was able to escape and improve to 6-2 (5-1 CSAC) with the win and secure the #2 seed in the upcoming postseason tournament.  BBC (6-5, 4-2 CSAC) will likely be the #3 seed and face the Pacers again in the semifinals.

The Pacers took two of three doubles matches, winning at #1 and #3.  Mark Van Nort and Ryan Mulqueen were 8-2 winners in top doubles action while Gavin Coyne and Steven Garubba picked up a 8-4 win at #3.

The Pacers and Defenders each won three singles matchs.  Mulqueen won in the top singles flight (6-2, 6-2) and Marywood got wins from Brendan Brown and Kevin Godici at #5 and #6 singles, respectively, to secure the win.

Marywood will close out their CSAC regular season Thursday with a match at Rosemont College.
