Men's Tennis Beats Immac 9-0, Plays BBC Tonight

Scranton, PA - Marywood University downed visiting Immaculata University 9-0 in men's tennis action Monday afternoon but the Pacers will have little time to celebrate the victory.  Marywood (5-2, 4-1 CSAC) will take on Baptist Bible College later this evening (8:30 pm) at Birchwood Tennis Club in Clarks Summit with the #2 seed for the upcoming CSAC playoffs on the line.

The Pacers made quick work of the Mighty Macs in doubles, winning 8-3, 8-0 and 8-1.  In singles action, the won by scores of 6-1, 6-0 at #3-5 singles (Daniel Tintle, Steven Garubba, Brendan Brown, respectively).  Ryan Mulqueen won 6-3, 6-2 at #1 singles while Anthony Aveline (#2, 6-1, 6-1) and Gianni Monteleone (#6, 6-2, 6-1) were also victors.

The winner of tonight's match between the Pacers and Defenders will lock up the #2 seed of the four team postseason tournament.  Neumann University (7-0 CSAC) has already locked up the #1 seed.
