Scranton, PA - Visiting Keystone College broke open a 5-5 tie with a six run seventh in the opening game then scored six runs over the final two innings of the nightcap as the Giants completed a series sweep from Marywood University Thursday afternoon.  The Giants (15-11, 10-2 CSAC) won the opener 11-6 and dropped the Pacers (10-9, 2-5 CSAC) 7-0 in game two.

Marywood trailed the opener 5-2 before Dominic Loughlin hit a long shot to deep center with the bases loaded.  Keystone centerfielder Gaston Rojas made a fantastic try at the ball, but came up just short, and the bases cleared to tie the game at 5-5.  The next inning, however, Keystone's bats came alive again, and Rojas went yard with a three-run blast to make it 8-5 and put the game away.

Bryan Noonan took the loss in the opener, allowing 11 runs on 11 hits.  Only three of Keystone's runs were earned.  Noonan struck out four.  Keystone middle reliever Adam Sosnowski got the win, allowing three hits over 1.2 innings of work in the middle of the game.

Rojas was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer in the opener.  Loughlin finished game one 1-for-3 with his three-run double.

In the nightcap, Daniel Hull pitched well for the Pacers, allowing one run over the opening five innings before the Giants got to him in the sixth.  Hull struck out seven and allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits to take the loss.  Tommy Smith was 2-for-3 in the nightcap.  Dan Maguire got the win for the Giants, striking out six and allowing just four hits over six innings.  Kevin Luciano was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in the nightcap for Keystone.

Marywood will host Immaculata in a doubleheader Monday beginning at 1:00 pm.
