Scranton, PA - Just like it happened in the movie Major League, Stephanie Bagniewski scored the game-winning run by scoring from second base on a infield bunt from Kathleen Rossi. Rossi laid down a beautiful bunt to third base, and legged out the bunt for a single. Bagniewski, meanwhile, advanced to third on the bunt and scored on the throw over to first.  The heads-up play salvaged a split between Marywood and Centenary as the Pacers (14-8, 13-3 CSAC) won game two 8-7 in nine innings while the Cyclones (8-21, 8-6 CSAC) won the opener, 7-6.

In the opener, Marywood took a 1-0 lead in the second on a RBI single to center from Rossi that scored Samantha Rayhon.  In the fourth, both teams plated two runs, and they Cyclones went up 7-4 with a three-run sixth.  Marywood got one back in the bottom half of the inning and another in the bottom of the seventh, but fell 7-6.

Lindsey Gibbs suffered just her third loss of the season on the mound (7-3).  She struck out eight and allowed three earned runs over the complete-game effort.  Chelsea Zimmerman was 2-for-3 with two RBI.  Rayhon, Bagniewski, Zimmerman and Stephanie Poveromo all had doubles.

Action was slow going over the first two innings of the second game thanks to some strong pitching from Marywood's Alyssa Bavaro . Centenary grabbed a 2-0 lead in the third though, but Marywood cut the Cyclone lead in half in the third ona  Mariah Runco RBI pop-out.

Each team scored a run in the fifth and Marywood out-dueld Centenary 2-1 in the sixth. After each team plated a run in the seventh, the game went to extra innings, tied at five. A scoreless eighth from both teams followed before Centenary looked to put the game away with two runs in the top of the ninth to go up 7-5.

After a groundout to start the Pacers' ninth, Brook Labs singled up the middle to get things going. Rayhon walked, and Bagniewski hit a two-run double to left center to tie the game. Bagniewski would then complete her heroics as Rossi bunted.

Marywood will host Scranton in non-conference action Monday April 21.
