Scranton, PA - Marywood University and The University of Scranton traded a pair of 12-4 wins Monday afternoon, as the Pacers took the non-conference opener and the Royals downed the Pacers in the nightcap. Marywood now stands at 15-9, while Scranton is 7-16.

In the opener, Marywood scored at least one run in all but the opening inning to cruise to the win. The Pacers broke open the game with a five run third inning. Stephanie Bagniewski had two RBI in the inning with a single to center.  Lindsey Gibbs (8-3) won the opener after striking out five and allowing one run on three hits over four innings of work. Emily Perruso pitched the final two innings, allowing three runs on six hits.

In the nightcap, Marywood's Diana Butash came a home run short of completing the cycle as she went 4-for-4 with two runs scored. Kathleen Rossi was 1-for-4 with pair of RBI. Marywood had a 3-2 lead after one inning but the Royals scored nine runs over the final three innings to secure the win.

Marywood's scheduled contest for Tuesday at Gwynedd Mercy was moved to Saturday April 26 to avoid expected rain tomorrow, so the Pacers are now scheduled to return to the diamond on Thursday when they host Rosemont in a CSAC twinbill at 3:00 pm.
