Scranton, PA - Marywood University swept visiting Rosemont College Thursday afternoon with a pair of 9-1 wins. The Pacers (17-9, 15-3 CSAC) won the opener in five innings and the nightcap in six.  Chelsea Zimmerman went 4-for-6 on the day while Sarah Recanati was 3-for-6 with three RBI.  Rosemont fell to 3-16 (3-16 CSAC) with the losses.

In the opener, Marywood used a pair of four run innings, one in the second and another in the fifth, to put the game away early.  Alyssa Bavaro (6-5) got the win, striking out five while allowing just one run on four hits in the complete-game effort.  Recanati was 1-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored while Diana Butash was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a run batted in.

The Pacers spread out their scoring in the nightcap win, scoring in every inning except the fifth. Recanati, Mariah Runco and Zimmerman all had RBIs in the win.  Emily Perruso (3-1) got the win, allowing one unearned run on two hits while striking out three over four innings of work.  Lindsey Gibbs pitched the final two innings, striking out three of the six batters she faced and did not allow a hit.

Marywood out-hit the Ravens 17-6 on the day. 

Marywood will host Keystone College in a CSAC twinbill at 3:00 pm on Friday.
