Scranton, PA - Marywood University's Vince Rebar tied a school record with five hits in a single game and Dominic Loughlin batted in five runs as Marywood University closed it's 2014 baseball season on a positive note by splitting with Centenary College.  Marywood dropped the opening game 13-9 but rallied for a season ending 3-2 victory over the Cyclones.  The Pacers finish 2014 with a 13-17 overall mark and 5-13 league record.  Centenary is 19-17, 8-10 in the CSAC.

In the opening game, Rebar went 5-for-5 at the plate with four singles and a doubles.  His five hits in a single game tie a record set by three other former Pacers, the last of which to complete the feat was Shane Davis on March 20, 2012 against King's College.

Centenary took an early 4-0 lead through two and a half innings of play but Marywood got two back in the bottom of the third when Loughlin hit a two run single down the left field line to score Daniel Hull and Rebar.  The Cyclones, however, got five more in the fifth highlighted by a three-run homer, and added four more in the sixth to build a 13-4 lead.

Marywood would score five runs over the final two innings but were not able to come all the way back.

Billy Kelly (1-3) took the loss for the Pacers.  Rebar was 5-for-5 with three runs scored while Loughlin was 3-for-4 with four RBI.  Daniel Hull was 3-for-5 with a double, RBI and two runs scored.

In the nightcap, Russell Baldino struck out five and allowed just four hits to picked up his third win of the year.  Rebar, Erik Pulkkinen and Loughlin accounted for Marywood's three runs, all of which came over the first three innings of play.  In the first, Pulkkinen singled through the right side to score Rebar.  In the second, Rebar tripled to right center to score Steven Gaylets, and in the third Loughlin singled up the middle to score Hull.
