Wilkes-Barre Township, PA - An early second half goal from King's College's Selina Malacari was all the hosts would need as the Monarchs defeated visiting Marywood University 1-0 in non-conference field hockey action Thursday evening in Wilkes-Barre Township.  King's improved to 4-1 with the win while Marywood moved to 1-3.

King's held a commanding 29-4 advantage in shots but could not get the ball past Marywood goalie Kayle Huey until 2:44 into the second half of play.  Huey finished the game with 16 saves, a new season and career high for the rookie. 

The Pacers will host DeSales University at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
