Women's Tennis Stumbles in CSAC Opener

Radnor, PA - Marywood University's Megan Nastellil won matches at both #1 singles and #1 doubles play but the Pacers fell to Cabrini College by a score of 7-2 Saturday afternoon at the Radnor Raqcuet Club.  The win moved the Cavaliers to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in CSAC play while Marywood slips to 1-1 and is 0-1 in league play.

Nastelli and doubles partner Kristen Lambert took an 8-4 win over Cabrini's Terra McHenry and Tori Yeich and Nastelli was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over McHenry in the top singles flight but unfortunately for the Pacers those were their only points on the afternoon.  Cabrini won both #2 (8-2) and #3 (8-4) doubles and went on for wins in #2 through #6 in singles action. 

Nicole Broccolino edged Marywood's Devon Underwood in a super tiebreaker, 6-2, 4-6, 10-8.

Marywood returns to the courts Friday when they host Cedar Crest College at 3:00 pm.
