Men's Golf Takes King's Tri-Match

Hanover Township, PA - Nicholas Johnson fired a one-under par 70 to lead Marywood University to a pair of victories Wednesday afternoon at the King's College tri-match at Wyoming Valley Country Club in Hanover Township.  Johnson led five Pacers who finished in the top 10 as Marywood scored a 305 to defeat King's (327) and FDU-Florham (340).  Marywood improved to 12-3 on the year and defeated King's for the first time in three tries this fall.

Johnson's low round on the par 71 course earned him medalist honors for the second time this year.  Michael Thomas finished third with a 74 on the 6,172 yard course while Dalton Deardorff (80) finished sixth.  Dominick Mancinelli and Jordan Ohler tied for seventh with 81s and Willis Davenport shot a 86 to finish 11th in the 17 man event.

Marywood will return to action Thursday when they take on Baptist Bible College, the University of Scranton and Keystone College at Stonehedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock.
