Scranton, PA - Marywood University's Kimberly Vogan had four assists and Alixandria Fiore had two goals as the Pacers earned their first win of the season with a 5-1 win over visiting Notre Dame of Maryland University Sunday afternoon in Scranton.  Vogan's four helpers came within one of Rebecca Grubb's school record five set back in 2002.  Marywood moved to 1-1 in the CSAC with the win (1-7 overall).

Despite the final score, it was Notre Dame (2-5, 0-2 CSAC) who got on the board first. After Marywood missed several chances early, a long ball from the corner from Meghan O'Connor found the feet of Savannah Ferrara for the game's first tally in the 18th minute of play.

Marywood responded with three goals in a ten minute span. At 26:06, Fiore scored the Pacers' first goal of the season off assists from Brianna Untener and Vogan. Vogan was fed a nice through ball from Elizabeth Carlson and sent in a cross that Untener chested down towards the goal mouth for Fiore to poke home.  Eight minutes later, Vogan fed Erica Greco on a breakaway and Greco finished for her first collegiate goal.

At the 36:00 mark, Untener scored her first collegiate goal as Vogan fed her in the box to make it 3-1 Marywood.

Fiore then scored at the 65:06 mark after a long ball from Melissa Kaminski put her on a breakaway.  The Pacers closed the scoring at 69:20 when Carlson scored on a break, again assisted by Vogan.

Marywood out-shot the Gators 37-2 on the game and had a 20-2 advantage in shots on goal.  Emily Osborne made one save in 77 minutes of action while Victoria Pezdirtz played the final 13 minutes in goal without seeing a shot.  Heather Lancellotti made 15 saves for Notre Dame.

Marywood returns to action Wednesday when they travel to face nationally ranked Ithaca College.
