Scranton, PA - The University of Scranton scored three goals in the opening six minutes of their game against crosstown foe Marywood University and the Royals went on for a 9-0 win over the Pacers Saturday afternoon at Fitzpatrick Field.  The Royals improved to 3-0 on the year while the Pacers fell to 1-2.

Cassie Mullen opened the scoring for the Royals at the 3:11 mark and Krista Osborne doubled the lead for Scranton at 4:56.  Alyssa Whitman made it 3-0 in favor of the hosts at the 5:42 mark and Scranton would tack on three more goals for a 6-0 first half lead.

Scranton out-shot Marywood 35-2 on the afternoon and did not allow a shot on goal.  Kayle Huey made a season-high 16 saves for the Pacers in the loss.

Marywood returns to action Thursday, September 11 with a trip to King's College for a 7:00 pm non-conference match with the Monarchs at Betzler Field.
