Men Fall to Crusaders, Women Split with Susquehanna and Juniata

Selinsgrove, PA - Marywood's women's swimming and diving team split their meets Saturday with a win over Juniata and a loss to host Susquehanna while the men fell to the Crusaders in Landmark Conference action. The men fell 145-123 while the women lost to Susquehanna 182-89 but beat Juniata 187-73. 

Susquehanna won both of the 200 medley relay events to open the meet.  Marywood's women's team finished thirdwhile the men finished second.  Jason Beabout won the men's 1000 free in 10:15.27 while Daniel Adams picked up wins in the 50 free (22.28) and 100 free (48.83).  

Zack Haney would pick up a second place finish for the men in the 200 backstroke (2:04.80), losing by just .53.  Virginia Cobb finished first in the 500 free in a time of 5:32.71 while Tricia Caiait and Shanna Carwell finished first and second in the women's 400 IM for the Pacers.

Beabout would late earn a second place finish in the 500 free in a time of 5:01.09 and Haney would win the 400 IM in 4:25.05.  He was followed by teammates Eddie Sanborn III (4:51.60) and Paul Kremsner (5:03.32). 

Marywood closed the meet strong, winning both the men's and women's 200 freestlye relay.  Kim Petersen, Valarie Barlow, Julissa Quezada and Catherine Anlas won the women's event in 1:46.62 while Bryon Scholl, Paul Kraycer, Blake Burlingame and Adams won the men's in 1:29.59.

Marywood travels to Goucher College in Maryland next Saturday for their second to last regular season meet.
