Hackettstown, NJ - Marywood University earned a key Colonial States Athletic Conference win by holding off host Centenary College 68-63 Saturday afternoon in New Jersey.  Shane Kellaher led the Pacers with 19 points while Alex Barr added a career high 17.  Marywood, who survived a brutal four-game stretch this week with a 2-2 record, improves to 9-4 overall and .500 (4-4) in league play, while the Cyclones fell to 7-7 (4-3 CSAC).

Marywood used six first half three pointers to build a slight 35-33 lead going into the break.  Despite the Cyclones hitting seven threes of their own in the opening frame, Marywood had a slight advantage by sinking five of seven freebies while limiting Centenary to just two of five from the free throw line.

The Pacers went up by nine early in the second half on a pair of free throws from Michael Rotell, but the hosts responded right back and took a 45-44 lead with 14:41 to go on a three from Myles McLeod.

After the fifth tie of the game with the score 49-49, Marywood went up five 56-51 on the strength of four consecutive made free throws.

With the score tied for the seventh and final time at 60-60 with 0:51 left on the clock, the Pacers sank five more free throws and created several key turnovers to hold off the hosts.

Marywood finished the game hitting 18 of their 23 attempts from the charity stripe.  Connor Callejas, who was two-for-two from three point land and four of four from the line, added 10 for the Pacers.  Rashaan Spencer had a game-high 23 points for Centenary.

Marywood returns to action Wednesday when they host Keystone College at 7:00 pm.
