Towson, MD - Marywood University's women's swimming team dominated host Goucher College 162-98 while the Pacers' men's squad held off the Gophers 136-126. The women improved to 7-5 overall and 3-3 in Landmark Conference action while the men 8-3 (3-2).

Marywood's 400 yard medley relay team of Tricia Caiati, Hailey Moorehead, Valerie Barlow and Shanna Carwell got the women off on the right foot with a win in the opening event in a time of 4:39.54. Marywood's men's 400 medley relay team of Paul Kraycer, Evan Romines, Daniel Adams and Blake Burlingame came in second. In the 1000 free, Allison McCarthy (12:34.76) and Kayleigh Velott (12:41.14) came in second and third for the Pacers while Jason Beabout (10:25.83), Eddie Sanborn III (10:43.27) and DJ Boyer (10:45.20) swept the men's 1000.

Virginia Cobb took the women's 200 free in 2:05.06 while teammate Julissa Quezada came in third in a time of 2:09.52. Catherine Anlas earned her first win of the afternoon in the 100 back (1:07.24) while Velott finished second in 1:10.36. Kraycer (58.18) and Brian Shanahan (1:01.12) finished second and third in the men's 100 back while Zach Haney and Boyer finished second and third, respectively, in the 200 free with times of 1:48.85 and 1:57.79.

The women had strong showings over the next two events as Kim Petersen won the 100 breast in 1:14.99 while Moorehead took second then the Pacers swept the 200 fly as Ashley Foltz won in 2:35.42, Carwell finished second and Vinelyn Mendez finished third.

Anlas would win again in the 50 free (26.50) while Velott won the 200 back in 2:30.87. Petersen's second win of the afternoon came in the 200 breast (2:42.10) while Beabout led a men's sweep of the 500 free with a time of 5:06.18. Quezada won the women's 100 fly in1:06.88 while the Pacers' 400 free relay teams won to close the meet.

Marywood will compete their final regular season meet of the season next Saturday at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
