Clarks Summit, PA - Marywood University used a 8-0 run at the opening of each half and controlled throughout as the Pacers routed host Baptist Bible College 98-49 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action Wednesday evening.  Marywood improved to 11-7 overall and 6-5 in league play behind a career-high 26 points from rookie Connor Callejas.  

The Pacers, winners of three of their last four, dominated throughout.  Marywood jumped out to a 8-0 lead and led comfortably throughout the first half, most of the time by a double-digit margin.  A three pointer from Connor Callejas layup with 1:12 to go in the opening stanza gave Marywood their largest lead, 18 points, at 38-20, and the Pacers would carry a 39-22 lead into the locker room.

Another 8-0 run over the opening three minutes of the second half gave Marywood a 25 point lead, at 47-22.    

All 13 players that logged minutes for the Pacers registered points in the win.  Marywood was lead Callejas' career-high 26 which was highlighted by 6 of 9 shooting from long range.  Shane Kellaher added 16 while Daniel Tintle had a season-high 12 point night.  The Pacers shot 56% from the floor on the night while limiting BBC to 38% shooting.

The Defenders (2-16, 1-10 CSAC) got a team-high 18 from Abe Valentine in the loss.

With their sixth conference win, the Pacers remain in the mix of the CSAC logjam that has eight teams fighting for six playoff spots, all separated by less than two games.  Marywood will look for a little breathing room against the .500 mark when the Pacers return to action Saturday as they host Cairn University at 3:00 pm.
