Scranton, PA - Visiting Rosemont College got a game-high 26 points from Marcus Thomas and the Ravens used several key runs to defeat host Marywood University 79-69 Wednesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action.  Three other Ravens reached double figures on the night as Rosemont improved to 5-7 overall and 3-2 in league play.  Shane Kellaher had 16 for Marywood, who fell to 7-4 (2-2 CSAC) with the loss.

Marywood enjoyed several big advantages in the early going, including two 10-point leads in the first half. But, with the Pacers up 23-13 in the opening stanza, the Ravens turned up the defense and started finishing from near and far as they reclaimed a 33-31 lead at the break.  Thomas led the comeback with an 11 point first half effort.

In the second, the visitors used a 9-2 run over the opening three minutes to take a 42-33 lead, but Marywood would battle back thanks to some Raven turnovers and some fast break points to reclaim a 49-48 lead on a Jonathan Velazquez three pointer.

Rosemont answered right back with a 10-0 run of their own and would not relinquish the lead again.  The Ravens kept the Pacers at bay the rest of the way, thanks in large part to 13 of 14 shooting from the charity stripe in the second half, which included a perfect 8-for-8 half from Thomas on the line.

Kellaher's 16 led three Pacers in double digits.  Cameron Dean added 12 and Connor Callejas had 10.  Kellaher dished out a game-high seven assists.

Dom Scafidi (13), Clayton Wolfe (11) and Nadir Stukes (10) also reached double figures for Rosemont.

Marywood returns to action Saturday when they host Neumann University at 1:00 pm.
