Volleyball Bags Three-Set Win at Delaware Valley

Doylestown, PA – Marywood University won for the fourth time in its past six matches as the Pacers swept host Delaware Valley University 3-0 in Monday's non-conference women's volleyball match. Set scores were 25-18, 25-9 and 25-20.
 
Marywood lost its first 12 matches of the season before its recent hot streak improved the team's mark to 4-14. The loss dropped the Aggies to 1-14.
The first set was tied at 10 apiece before the Pacers won seven of the next eight points and cruised from there. They won eight in a row in one stretch in the second set to take a commanding lead in the match. In the third, the Aggies made it close to come within one at 16-14; however, Marywood took the next five points and went onto the victory.
 
Mallorie Deschaine finished with 11 kills and 11 digs. Amanda Khozouri recorded 20 digs and five aces from the libero spot. Danielle DeIulio coined 21 assists in addition to eight digs.

Kayla Bracken shined for the Aggies with six kills and 17 digs. Taylor Klecan had three kills and 10 digs. Nicole Daigneault and Lilly Gilbert recorded 10 digs apiece.

Marywood shot .136 for the game to the Aggies' minus-.056.

The Pacers look to make it five out of seven when they host Penn State Berks Thursday at 7:00 pm.
