Scranton, PA – Daniel Hull broke the Marywood University school record for career goals scored in a 4-2 victory over Immaculata University Wednesday in Colonial States Athletics Conference men's soccer. Hull scored his 41st career goal in the seventh minute and stands one shy of the school's career points record with an assist.

After seeing its two-goal lead vanish in the late stages of the first half, Marywood totaled two unanswered in the second half to lift itself to victory in a battle of two of the top four teams in the conference. Saturday's matchup at Cabrini College pits the Pacers (4-5-3, 3-0-1 CSAC) and the Cavaliers tied atop the conference with 10 points.

Cody Gangware scored his first collegiate goal 30 seconds into the contest – the fastest of the season for the Pacers. A cross went to the far right side to Dylan McMahon. McMahon dished it back to Gangware, who buried it into the top-right shelf. The Marywood bench showed its appreciation by giving Gangware the silent treatment until the restart.

Hull scored his in the seventh minute. McMahon again engineered the play with a breakaway down the right flank, before delivering a spot-on cross to a racing Hull in the center. Three Mighty Macs converged on Hull; however, Hull took the ball off a defender and ripped it into the net for an early 2-0 lead. Hull broke the record set previously by Christian Lawlor '14.

The elder Hull assisted his younger brother Matthew Hull for the game-winning tally in the 53rd minute. Daniel Hull delivered an on-point corner kick that eventually found his brother for a tap-in that was stopped behind the goal line. After the official initially called the goal off, the call was reversed for Matthew's second goal in as many games.

Immaculata received a break for once in the 24th minute. Stephen Smith hit a shot from 35 yards out that went off the goalkeeper's hands and into the net.

Smith leveled the score at 2-2 with six seconds remaining in the first half. After a corner kick got array, Immaculata took the ball the other way. Danny Lopez hustled downfield to make an impressive tackle; however, the ball took a fortuitous bounce and the Mighty Mac attack was able to ward off Lopez. Pat Friend dished it to Smith for his second of the game.

Andrew Murray added an insurance goal for Marywood in the 65th minute. Matthew Hull delivered a throughball to set up a breakaway chance for Murray. The Immaculata keeper made a charge at the ball. Upon impact, a Marywood bounce left Murray all alone in front of net for his second of the year.

Justin Sunseri earned the victory with seven saves, including one on Alex Noel in the 86th. Immaculata keeper Joe Lubonski had his work out for him with 18 shots on goal. Despite letting in four, Lubonski was stellar in net with 14 saves.

Marywood outshot the Mighty Macs by a 30-18 ratio. The Pacers held a slight 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.

The Pacers travel to Cabrini Saturday to determine first place in the CSAC standings.
