Cazenovia, NY - Kim Petersen led Marywood to their first win of 2015-16 over Cazenovia, 142-88, by winning two events individually and leading a relay team to a third. The Pacers shined throughout en route to the non-conference win.

In the 1000 yard freestyle, Petersen decimated the competition, touching the wall in 12:11.16, a full 30 seconds ahead of the second place finisher and a minute ahead of the third place finisher.  She did the same in the 200 breaststroke, finishing in 2:45.15, winning by over 11 seconds.

Immediately after getting out of the water from the 200 free, Petersen led the team to a first place finish (4:04.02) in the 400 free relay with splits of 29.25 and 1:03.96.  Teammates Mary Cate Coyle, Virginia Cobb and Mia Nardone joined Petersen on the winning team.

The host Wildcats jumped out to an early 11-6 lead by winning the 400 medley relay race, but Marywood responded with wins in the 1000 free (Petersen) and 200 free (Nardone).

After Cazenovia's Briana Hall took the 50 free in 25.61 over Coyle (2nd, 27.33) and Cara Cassandro (3rd, 28.56), Julia Randolph (5:10.08), Tricia Caiati (5:15.29) and Shanna Carwell (5:25.46) swept first through third place in the 400 IM for the Pacers.

Seychelle Duckworth (2:47.56) won the 200 butterfly for Marywood in the seventh event of the afternoon, while Nardone later took the 200 backstroke in 2:19.73.

Cobb, Carwell and Kimberly Zimmer gave Marywood another first through third finish, respectively, in the 500 free.

Marywood is back in action Saturday when they host Wilkes University at 1:00 pm.
