Scranton, PA - Marywood University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams used dominate performances to pick up non-conference wins over Wilkes University Saturday afternoon in Scranton.  The men (1-1) won 216-40 while the women (2-1) won 192.5-74.5.

Marywood opened the meet with a pair of wins in the 400 medley relay as the women won in 4:28.21 and the men in 3:48.70.  In the women's 1650, Kim Petersen (19:45.11) won by nearly 45 seconds over teammate Allison McCarthy (20:28.91) and fellow Pacer Shanna Carwell (20:54.03). 

In the men's 1650, Jason Beabout (17:55.05), Eddie Sanborn III (18:09.08) and DJ Boyer (18:53.60) took first through third place.  The women's 200 free was swept by Marywood with Virginia Cobb winning in 2:07.11 and the men got a win from Jared Lubarsky in the 200 free as well.

In the 50 backstroke, Wilkes' Amanda Lopez won in 30.37 while Marywood took 2nd through 5th place led by Kimberly Zimmer's seocnd place finish (35.00).  Paul Kraycer won the men's 50 backstroke and was followed by Beabout and Brian Shanahan.

Petersen would also win the 50 breaststroke in a time of 32.50 and was followed by Hailey Moorehead in 32.90.  Chandler Krause won the men's 50 breaststroke in 29.20 and was followed by Evan Romines (31.50) and Sanborn III (31.70).

In the 200 butterfly, Marywood got first place showings from Mia Nardone (2:23.30) and Bryan Scholl (2:11.20).  Mary Cate Coyle won the 50 free for the Pacers in 26.95 while Blake Burlingame won the men's 50 free in 22.17.

Coyle followed her 200 butterfly win with a win in the 100 free (57.74) and Burlingame also won the men's 100 free in 51.67.

Nardone picked up another win on the day in the women's 200 backstroke (2:21.50) and Shanahan won the men's 200 back in 2:09.43.  Krause won the men's 200 breast in 2:28.21 to edge teammate Romines (2:29.81).  Virginia Cobb was impressive in the 500 free, winning in 5:41.00.  Scholl won the men's 500 in 5:05.40.  Julia Randolph finished second in the women's 500 free in 5:48.00.

Tom Missal (26.05) and Jacob Jones (26.60) finished one-two in the 50 butterfly while Randolph finished atop the podium as she won the women's 200 individual medley in 2:26.18.  Daniel Adams won the men's 200 individual relay in 2:09.23. 

Marywood returns to action on Friday October 30 as it opens Landmark Conference action with a trip to Washington, D.C. to take on The Catholic University of America.  Action begins at 6:00 pm.
