Baltimore, MD - Visiting Marywood University scored 15 minutes into the game but host Notre Dame of Maryland University answered with just under 15 minutes left in regulations as the Pacers and Gators drew 1-1 Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's soccer action.

A day after clinching a playoff berth, Marywood (7-6-4, 6-2-3 CSAC) came out slow and lacking energy.  The Pacers got a break in the 15th minute of play when Megan Swiecicki took advantage of a misplayed ball by a defender and beat the goalkeeper for her team best 11th tally of the year.

But from there Marywood again looked out of place, as Notre Dame managed to win the midfield battle and generate few nice looks.

Marywood missed a golden opportunity to go ahead 2-0 midway through the second half when Ashley Kruchinsky's breakaway attempt sailed high over the crossbar and out of play.

With 13:39 left to go, Savannah Ferrara found Lauren Santi on the left corner of the 18, who played a beautiful one-time shot over a charging Marywood keeper for the equalizer.

Notred Dame had 13 shots in the game to Marywood's eight and placed nine on goal to Marywood's three.  Julie Youngman made eight saves for the Pacers to preserve the tie.

Marywood closes out their regular season Friday when they host John Jay College at 7:00 pm.  Prior to and after the game, Marywood will honor seniors Brooke Cicale and Allison Warner.

Marywood will likely be the #4 seed in the CSAC post-season and host a first round playoff game Monday, November 2 against an opponent yet to be determined.
