Radnor, PA – Marywood University split both of its matches in a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's volleyball tri-match Tuesday in Radnor, Pennsylvania. The Pacers beat Rosemont College in three sets by scores of 25-10, 25-18, 25-14 after falling to host Cabrini College by scores of 25-7, 25-13, 25-13.

It was a juxtaposing evening for the Pacers. Marywood had both its highest (.346 attack percentage vs. Rosemont) and lowest (minus-.060 vs. Cabrini) hitting performances of the season.

Marywood takes its record to 3-14 overall, leveling its conference record to 3-3.

In the nightcap versus the Ravens, Mallorie Deschaine tied a school record with 16 kills in a three-set match. Deschaine also led the team with seven digs and five aces, in addition to her .345 attack percentage. Deschaine ties Emily Fillman's 2011 performance against Cabrini and her own outing versus Dickinson early in the season.

Danielle DeIulio picked up 16 assists and three aces. Brianna Thompson had her top performance of the season with 14 helpers in one set.

Rosemont shot .070 for the match.

In the earlier match against the defending champion Cavaliers, Deschaine led the Pacers with six kills, despite a sub-zero hitting performance. Lauren Besecker was the lone Pacer with a positive attack.

DeIulio assisted 10 of the Pacers' 13 kills. Amanda Khozouri tallied 14 digs.

Jennifer Grenauer led the Cavaliers with 10 kills. Cassidy Koenig provided 31 assists, and Kelly Guarino racked up 21 digs.

Marywood is idle until Monday, Oct. 12 when it looks for its first non-conference win of the season at Delaware Valley University.
