Hackettstown, N.J. – Marywood University closed its regular season with a 3-1 loss at Centenary College Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's soccer action. The Pacers (7-7-3) came into the game with their playoff position in check and, as the No. 2 seed in the conference playoffs, will wait for their semifinal opponent Thursday.

Marywood led 1-0 after taking its starters out of the game for the entirety of the second half. The Cyclones scored all three goals against the Pacers' reserves.

Cody Gangware scored his second career goal in the 28th minute. Gangware tapped in a cross from Daniel Hull. Hull's assist puts him two points shy of the single-season record of 29, held by both by him in 2013 and Christian Lawlor in 2011.

Playing against Marywood's second string, Centenary tied the score in the 60th minute. Richy Castro made the best of a deep Chris Bonilla cross into the middle of the box. Castro ripped the shot for his third of the year.

Justin White punched in the game-winning goal in the 76th minute. White's first shot was blocked off a defender, and White rebounded the header from outside the six-yard box for his seventh of the year.

Josh Weiss added an insurance goal in the 88th. Luis Marin played a ball wide that Weiss ripped a shot from in the upper-right corner that was deflected in. It was also his seventh.

Marywood keepers Justin Sunseri and Kevin Sullivan split time in goal. Sunseri made two saves in a scoreless 45. Kevin Sullivan saw the most action he's seen this season and stopped one goal. Their counterpart Jesse Goleman picked up the win with three saves.

Centenary shot the ball 22 times compared to Marywood's nine. Both teams had seven shots in the first half. Marywood led 5-1 in corner kicks.

In the six-team field, Centenary (13-2-3, 7-1-1 CSAC) earned the No. 1 seed and will join Marywood in receiving byes. Third-seeded Immaculata University (8-10, 6-3 CSAC) reached the CSAC playoffs for the second time in school history and will host No. 6 Keystone College (7-8-1, 4-5 CSAC). The Cyclones (11-7, 6-3 CSAC) host No. 5 Neumann University (5-9-2, 4-4-1 CSAC) after the Knights crawled back into playoff contention. Neumann is the defending CSAC champion.
