Hazleton, PA - Marywood University got a game-high 21 points from Shane Letthand and 13 from Cameron Dean as the Pacers improved to 3-0 on the year with a 65-63 road win at Penn State Hazleton Saturday afternoon.  The Lions fell to 1-5 with the loss.

James Curley added 10 for Marywood on four of six shooting which included a two of three mark from long range.  Letthand broke a 61-61 tie with 2:23 to go with a three of his own, and made one free throw down the stretch to help hold off Penn State.

Compared to the first two games of the season, Marywood was cold from long range otherwise. The Pacers hit just four of 11 from beyond the arc for just a 36.4% effort.  Penn State staying in the game with 13 from three-point range, hitting 55% of their efforts. 

The hosts raced out a 13 point, 37-24 lead at the break, but Marywood out-scored PSU 41-26 in the second half to remain unbeaten. 

Marywood scored 20 points off Penn State turnovers, and the Pacers' bench out-scored that of the hosts, 21-11.

Nick Nowak and Royce Brathwaite each had 16 for the Lions in the loss. 

Marywood will host Gwynedd Mercy University Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the CSAC opener for both teams.
