Scranton, PA - Marywood's men's swimming and diving team beat Scranton for the third consecutive year to level their six-year record with the Royals at 3-3 after a 164-124 victory Saturday afternoon. The University of Scranton women bested Marywood's, 216-75.

The men now stand at 3-2 on year after their win while the women fall back to .500 at 3-3. 

The U's women's 200 medley relay team opened the meet by sweeping the event, while Marywood's men's team of Daniel Adams, Chandler Krause, Bryon Scholl and Blake Burlingame finished in 1:39.49 to edge Scranton's team who touched in 1:40.30.

Kim Petersen was defeated in the 1000 free by nine seconds but on the men's side the Pacers swept the event with a first place finish from Jason Beabout, a second place showing from Eddie Sanborn III and a third place finish from DJ Boyer.

Scholl and Beabout finished 1-2 in the 200 free while Adams won the 100 backstroke.  Burlingame won the 50 free and Tom Missal won one-meter diving with a score of 150.00.  Missal would later take the 3-meter diving event with a score of 175.25.

Adams and Burlingame finished first and second, respectively, in the 100 free, while Beabout won the 500 free in 5:04.77.

The men's 400 freestlye relay team closed the meet with a win with a time of 3:16.79.

Virginia Cobb and Mia Nardone each had several second place showings for the Marywood women.

Marywood will be back in action December 4-6 at the WPI Invitational in Worcester, Massachusetts.
