Pacers Fall to Griffins, Take No. 4 Seed in CSAC Playoffs

Gwynedd Valley, PA – Marywood University dropped its regular season finale 79-63 Friday to Gwynedd Mercy University in a battle for the No. 3 seed in the Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball playoffs. With the loss, the Pacers take the No. 4 seed and will host rival Keystone College Monday at 7:00 pm in the Insalaco Arena.

Marywood (16-9, 11-5 CSAC) fell behind early and could not recover from its early deficit, trailing by 26 points at halftime to the Griffins. The Pacers made a charge in the second half but could not bring the score to within single digits.

Danielle Terranella led the Pacers with 18 points on 6 of 18 shooting from the field. Maddie Lavery patrolled the paint with 11 rebounds and a season-best five blocks. Catie Nealon scored nine points and four assists.

Gwynedd Mercy was led by three doubles-doubles from Chandler DiFebbo (11 pts, 10 rebs); Natasha Matthews (20 pts, 10 rebs); and Charlotte Kucowski (12 pts, 11 rebs). Kelsey Yori tabbed 17 points.

Marywood finished the game by shooting 34.8 percent from the field after making less than a quarter of its first half shots. The Griffins out-rebounded the Pacers by a 57-44 margin.
