The Pacers were out-shot 32-21 over the course of the game. Sam Bussinelli kicked off her freshman campaign with a team-high four points on three goals and an assist. It is the first time a Pacer freshman scored three goals and four points in her first collegiate game since Diana D'Achille totaled six goals to open the 2011 season versus Marymount University.Mary Ninivaggi scored a career-high two points on a goal and an assist. Ninivaggi also tallied eight ground balls and five caused turnovers. Stephanie Hughes picked up six ground balls and three draw controls. Erin Healy totaled two points on a goal and an assist in her first college game. Caitlin Watson also found the back of the net in her first college game, and Katrina Kelly earned an assist in her first time on the field. Stacy Griffing scored a goal. Lauren Smith made nine saves in a losing effort in goal. Arcadia was led by a pair of six-point performances by Haylee Mollow and Adeline Bellesheim. Jaclyn Feffer was outstanding at the draw with 11 controls. Healy gave the Pacers a quick one-goal lead to start the game 5:34 into the game from Bussinelli. Bellesheim responded with an equalizer 36 seconds later, followed by two straight goals over an 11-minute span. Erin Misner added one more for a 4-1 lead. Bussinelli added two goals by halftime, but the Knights kept clicking in the sloppy conditions to go into half with a 9-3 lead. Arcadia owned a 16-7 advantage in draw controls. The Pacers held a 25-19 edge in ground balls. Marywood gears up to travel to Williamsport, Pa. to take on Lycoming College Friday at 4:00 pm. The Pacers do not return to play in Scranton in four weeks, hopefully to greener pastures and balmy weather, when they host Notre Dame of Maryland University on March 21.  Print Friendly Version
