Clarks Summit, PA – Marywood University women's basketball overcame a struggling first half from the field to topple Baptist Bible College 64-27 Thursday in Colonial States Athletic Conference action. The Pacers (13-6) improve to 8-3 in conference play, while Baptist Bible falls to 1-17 overall and 1-11 against CSAC competition.

Danielle Terranella was the lone Marywood player in double digits with 10 points – all but two coming in the first half. Nora Joyce, Lisa Steakin and Catie Nealon all contributed with eight points.

Maggie Presnal and Maddie Lavery led the Pacers with six rebounds.

Marywood could not find its shots in the first half, hitting just 10 of 35 (28.6 percent) from the field and missing all nine 3-pointers. The Pacers improved in the second half with a 60 percent (18 of 30) shooting clip and making two of five – both from Steakin – from beyond the arc.

Baptist Bible could not capitalize on Marywood's early shooting woes and made three of 19 for 15.8 percent. The Defenders turned that number around in the second half, finishing the game by making a quarter of its shots.

Marywood out-rebounded Baptist Bible 42-25.

Baptist Bible's Callie Kitowski was the team's leading rebounder and point scorer. She finished with eight points and 11 off the glass. No other player scored above four points.

The Pacers will host Keystone College Saturday at 1:00 pm in the team's Pink Game to raise support for the Nadine Cenci Marchegiani Foundation.
