Shane Kellaher led Marywood with a game-high 23 points and Alex Barr added 10, but the Griffins placed three in double figures, led by Brian Hennessey's team-high 17, in the win.With five teams tied for second place in the CSAC playoff hunt all one-half game behind Cabrini, Marywood and Gwynedd entered today's contest with identical 13-7 overall records and both were 8-5 in league play. The Griffins (14-7, 9-5 CSAC) left Scranton with the win and now remain in the three-way deadlock in second place after all the day's action was through, and Marywood (13-8) fell into a tie for fifth place with a 8-6 league record.Gwynedd also opened the game on a 10-0 run, but Marywood scored the next seven points to get back into it. Trailing 15-12, Marywood got a three from Shane Letthand to tie the game and would go up three on a pair of freebies from Cameron Dean and another from Letthand. The Pacers then built a six point, 25-19 lead before the Griffins battled back and would eventually claim a one-point, 35-34 lead, heading into the break.Another hot start from Gwynedd, highlighted by two trey's from Hennessey, helped the visitors build a 11-point cushion (45-34) early in the second stanza. But this time Marywood could not counter, and after getting to single digits one time with 16:50 to go the Pacers never got back to within 10 the rest of the way.Cedric Elleby and Arron Goodman each had 12 for the visitors, who shot 57.7% from the floor in the game. Marywood hit just 17 of 47 field goal attempts for a 36.2% clip. After hitting 6 of 14 (43%) from long range in the opening half, Marywood hit just 1 of 9 in the second half.
