Bridgewater, VA - Marywood University ended a two-game slide and earned a 7-4 victory over former coach Mic Grant and his Bridgewater (Va.) College team in non-conference men's lacrosse. The Pacers (2-3) wrap up their spring break trip.

Offensively, Dylan Swope and Scott Slater were too much for the Eagles to handle. Swope scored four goals and an assist for five points. Slater put together three assists and a goal for four points.

The Pacers downed the Eagles despite being nearly doubled (45-24) in shots. Bridgewater kept a slight 35-33 edge in ground balls.

Matt Casto and Sam Trill each scored for the Pacers. Ryan Nowell gathered eight ground balls and caused three turnovers. Jarrod Bulger caused three turnovers. Joe O'Connelly picked up five ground balls.

Michael Squillante won six faceoff chances. Joe Magargal made 15 saves, marking his third consecutive game with at least 15 stops.

Casto disrupted 10 minutes of scoreless lacrosse with an opening unassisted goal. After Bridgewater's Rob Simmons evened the game with 46 seconds left in the half, Slater took a Swope feed to the net with five ticks remaining to go into the break with a 2-1 lead.

Swope kickstarted the action in the third with 7:41 remaining. The Eagles' Thomas Maher trimmed the deficit to one 50 seconds later. Swope and Trill scored within 54 seconds of each other to up the lead to three.

It marks the Pacers' second consecutive win over Bridgewater.

Marywood return north of the Mason-Dixon Line Saturday to host Morrisville State at 1:00 pm.
