Scranton, PA - Marywood University freshman Erin Healy scored five goals to lead the Pacers to a 15-3 victory over Notre Dame of Maryland University Saturday in the Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse opener. With the win, the Pacers own their first two-game winning streak of the season.

Healy posted a season high by finding the net on five of her six shots. Dana Grossjung and Caitlin Watson were the only other players with multi-goal games with two apiece. Grossjung added an assist for three points.

Amanda Khozouri enjoyed a career-best game with five ground balls and two caused turnovers. The junior defenseman also netted her first goal of the season.

A trio of Pacers -- Alex Goedelbecker, Katrina Kelly and Stephanie Hughes -- scored their first career goals in the victory. Grossjung added three ground balls and draw controls. Mary Ninivaggi picked up three ground balls and caused a team-best three turnovers.

Lauren Smith picked up the win with a save. Teressa Izzo made a career-best six saves, allowing just one goal, in 30 minutes of reserve action.

Healy put the Pacers on top on the first possession of the game, 30 seconds after the opening draw from a Natalie Burke pass. Hughes and Watson teamed up for a pair of goals in a 43-second span to lift the Pacers to a three-goal lead. Marywood scored the first five of the game, holding the Gators scoreless for the first 15 minutes. Grossjung kickstarted a six-goal run that carried over 20 minutes into the second half, extending the Pacers' lead to 13-2.

Notre Dame was led by goals from Michaela Olson, Kit Talbott and Butto Sawyer.

Marywood completes a back-to-back CSAC women's lacrosse home weekend when it hosts Rosemont College Sunday at 1:00 pm.
