Aston, PA - The Marywood University men's lacrosse team scored its largest win in two seasons with a 17-3 victory over Neumann University Tuesday in its Colonial States Athletic Conference opener. The 14-goal advantage was the highest since the Pacers topped Immaculata 26-11 on April 20, 2013. It is the largest road win since defeating Penn State Abington by 24 goals in 2010.

Sam Trill tied the program's career goals record with his 105th score, as part of a two-goal performance. Trill found net on a man-up goal from Stephen Deiner with 79 seconds remaining in the first half to tie the record set by Nick Parks '11 and William Roerden '11.

Scott Slater scored three goals to lead an all-around effort by the Pacers (4-3, 1-0 CSAC). Dylan Swope added two goals and an assist, and Matt Casto had a season best with a goal and two assists.

Travis Pappas, and Ryan Fulton all provided two-goal efforts. Rob Maini and Sean Higgins scored their first career goals. Jake Drexl made an assist for his first collegiate point.

Michael Squillante gathered 12 ground balls and 12 faceoff victories. Skyler Swope picked up four ground balls.

Marywood won 19 of 24 faceoff chances for a 79.1 percent clip. The Pacers outshot the Knights 48-20 and kept a 44-26 advantage in ground balls.

The Pacers were 4 for 5 on extra-man opportunities.

Joe Magargal earned his fourth victory of the season with one save in 30 minutes of work. Daghan Hart and Chris Favale made their first two saves of the season.

Marywood scored four unanswered goals in the first period, including a Cody Bachman unassisted score in the first 42 seconds. Slater added a pair of goals in an 80-second span to close out the period with a four-goal lead. Neumann added two in the first eight minutes of the second period; however, the Pacers raced to a 10-2 victory at the break thanks to a man-up goal from Trill.

Neumann (0-6, 0-1 CSAC) received two goals from Ryan O'Kane. Antonio Gibson made 10 saves in a losing effort.

The Pacers look to stay undefeated in conference play when they host Immaculata University Saturday at 1:00 pm for their Senior Day.
