Scranton, PA - Brandon Terlizzi scored a goal with 11 seconds remaining in double overtime to give Marywood University a 9-8 victory over Susquehanna University in non-conference men's lacrosse. Terlizzi's score provides the Pacers with their second straight overtime victory over the Crusaders. Marywood extends a five-game winning streak.

The past three meetings between Marywood (6-3) and Susquehanna (8-3) have been settled by just one goal. The two teams have combined to play five overtime periods in the past two years, and a disqualified goal due to a illegal equipment violation in 2013 was all that prevented the teams from playing extra periods three consecutive years. Both of the past two meetings against the Crusaders are the longest in Marywood history.

Playing in heavy snow that accumulated more than an inch during the two-plus hour game, the Pacers were knocking on the door in the final minute thanks to a successful penalty kill. From 15 yards out, Terlizzi took a Dylan Swope pass from behind the net and found a hole on the top-right side of the goal to send the Pacers' bench into a frenzy. Terlizzi's score with 11 seconds left gave the Pacers the win over the defending Landmark Conference champions.

Terlizzi showed a flare for the dramatics, tying the game up with 2:17 remaining in regulation when he drove the lane on the left side for goal. He finished with two goals and sits with 12 on the season.

Marywood game back from a two-goal deficit (8-6) heading into the fourth period. Scott Slater cut the Crusaders' lead in half with a quick strike from Stephen Deiner with 7:08 remaining.

Cody Bachman and Sam Trill both finished with a pair of hat tricks. Trill added four ground balls.

Swope tallied four assists. Slater finished with a goal and an assist for two points to add to his four ground balls.

Daghan Hart came off the bench to pick up his first collegiate victory with a brilliant nine-save effort. The sophomore keeper allowed just one goal in 32 minutes, 45 seconds of action. Starting goalkeeper Joe Magargal made seven saves.

Riley Litman resumed his faceoff duties, winning 10 of 20 chances with seven ground balls. Ryan Nowell scooped five ground balls and caused three turnovers. Joe O'Connell had three caused turnovers.

The Pacers and Crusaders played an evenly matched game in what has turned out to be a back-and-forth nonconference rivalry. Susquehanna had a 38-30 advantage in shots. Both teams finished with 42 ground balls and split 10 faceoffs apiece.

The snowy and slippery conditions forced an oscillating first 20 minutes with neither team gaining momentum. Trill put the Pacers ahead 4-3 with 7:20 left in the second, and Bachman added an unassisted tally at 3:10 to put the Pacers ahead 5-3 heading into the break.

Susquehanna came out of the second half charging to the tune of three goals in less than five minutes. Chet McLaughlin totaled two of his three goals to even the game. Jake Calder added a go-ahead goal at 10:04 for a 6-5 lead. Following a Trill-from-Swope strike, Susquehanna's Carmen Raroha regained the lead less than a minute later. Nick Reardon added a man-up goal with 2:57 left in the third for an 8-6 advantage. In all, Susquehanna outscored Marywood 5-1 in the third.

Marywood's defense kept the Crusaders scoreless for the final 26 minutes of the game.

The Pacers enjoy a weeklong break before hosting Centenary College on April 8.
