Westminister, MD - The Marywood University men's lacrosse team began its spring break trip with an 8-2 loss to McDaniel College Saturday. The Green Terror held the Pacers scoreless throughout the first half, scoring all five goals. Marywood falls to 1-3 overall, while McDaniel improves to 2-1.

Brandon Terlizzi scored both goals for Marywood. Joe Magargal made 17 saves for the second consecutive game. Magaral and Michael Squillante each had three ground balls.

McDaniel more than doubled Marywood's shot production by a 48-23 ratio. The Green Terror sported a 27-17 ground ball advantage and won 75 percent (9 of 12 faceoffs). Both teams had just one failed clear.

The Green Terror's Timothy McNichol and Troy Becker both scored two goals. Zach Bicho won nine faceoffs.

Trailing 5-0 at halftime, Marywood came out of the break with a man-up score from Terlizzi. McDaniel rattled off three straight goals to extend its lead to 8-1. Terlizzi capped off the scoring with a goal with 12:16 remaining in the game.

It marks the second straight game the Pacers and their opponent combined to score 10 goals, the lowest totals in program history.

Marywood continues its spring break trip Wednesday in Virginia to face Bridgewater College at 3:30 pm.
