Clarks Summit, PA - Marywood University opened their 2015 CSAC slate with a 7-2 win over host Keystone College Wednesday afternoon at Birchwood Tennis Club in Clarks Summit. The Pacers now stand at 1-1 overall (1-0 CSAC) while the Giants remain winless on the year at 0-5 (0-4 CSAC).

Butts Padilla and Maleik Torres scored an 8-6 victory over Gavin Coyne and Gianni Monteleone #3 doubles, 8-6, but the Pacers would hold a 2-1 edge after doubles' action by taking the top two flights.  Mark Van Nort and Daniel Tintle scored an 8-1 decision over Michael Hull and Brian Toda at #1 doubles while Brendan Brown and Steven Garubba posted an 8-3 decision over John Masten and Dan Anderson at #2 doubles.
 
In singles action, Butts Padilla posted Keystone's lone point by working past Monteleone in a tiebreaker, 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 10-7 at the sixth flight.  At the top pairing, Van Nort bested Hull, 6-3, 6-1 while Tintle notched a 6-0, 6-1 win over Toda at #2 singles.  In the third flight, Brown defeated Masten, 6-1, 6-0 while Garubba notched a 6-3, 6-1 triumph over Torres at #4 singles.  At #5 singles, Coyne snuck past Anderson, 6-3, 6-4.

Marywood returns to the courts Tuesday as they take on Neumann University in league play in Aston.
