Scranton, PA - Marywood University won all three doubles matches then won at #5 and #6 singles to hold off Cabrini College in a key Colonial States Athletic Conference men's tennis match Saturday afternoon in Scranton. The Pacers improved to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in league play with the win while the Cavaliers now stand at 4-7, 4-3 CSAC.

Marywood jumped out to an important 3-0 lead after doubles.  In the top doubles flight, Daniel Tintle and Mark Van Nort were 8-5 winners over Alijah Braodnax and Anthony DiCicco, while Gavin Coyne and Steven Garubba earned an thrilling 9-7 win over Hugo Ballon and Joe Pacifico at #2 doubles.  Brendan Brown and Gianni Monteleone completed the sweep for the Pacers with an 8-2 win at #3 doubles.

Cabrini quickly got back in the match, however, and won at 1-4 singles.  But at #5 singles, Coyne downed Colin Kilroy 6-1, 6-4 and Monteleone emerged over Mike Halbherr with a 6-1, 6-3 win.

The Pacers will be back on the courts tomorrow as they host Rosemont College at 12:00 pm.
