Clarks Summit, PA - Marywood University won all three doubles matches, including a tight one at number three doubles, to beat Baptist Bible College 6-3 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's tennis action Thursday afternoon at Birchwood Tennis Club in Clarks Summit.

The Pacers improved to 2-1 on the year (2-0 CSAC) with the win, while the Defenders fell to 3-7 (1-3 CSAC) with the defeat.

At number three singles, Marywood's Brendan Brown and Gianni Monteleone edged BBC's Wesley Pincince and Dan Decker, 9-8 with a 7-2 win in the tiebreaker.  Marywood's top duo of Mark Van Nort and Daniel Tintle were 8-5 winners, while Gavin Coyne and Steven Garruba won 8-4 at #2 doubles.

Van Nort (6-3, 6-3) and Tintle (7-5, 6-2) won at #1 and #2 singles, respectively, and Coyne downed Pincince 6-4, 6-1 at #5.  

Baptist Bible took matches at #3, #4 and #6 singles.  At #3, Connor Ellsworth beat Brown 6-3, 6-1 while at #4 Dillon Bowman was a 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 winner over Garubba.  In the #6 flight, Decker topped Monteleone, 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.

Marywood is scheduled to return to action tomorrow with a trip to Gwynedd Mercy University.
