Glenside, PA – For the third straight season, Marywood University and Arcadia University couldn't decide an Opening Day victor after 110 minutes. The former Pennsylvania Athletic Conference men's soccer rivals played to a 2-2 draw Tuesday in Glenside.

Arcadia overcame a two-goal first half deficit to earn a draw with visiting Marywood. Each of the previous two season openers ended in scoreless stalemates. It was the first time since 2006 that a goal was scored between the two teams.

The Pacers struck twice midway through the first half on a pair of goals from Daniel Hull. The first came on an unassisted tally in the 21st minute that ended a 246 minute, 52 second scoreless streak between the two teams. Eager not to wait another 10 years to again find the Knights' net, the Pacers added a second goal six minutes later when Hull doubled up the score thanks to a Danny Lopez feed.

Arcadia's Matt Ross brought the Knights back with his first tally if the season in the 36th minute. The Knights' R.J. White tied it in the 67th minute with his first collegiate goal.

Arcadia dominated the play in the later stages of regulation, unable to get the go-ahead goal. Patrick Brogan came up with the save on a shot off the foot of Sam Hernandez in the 80th minute. The best scoring chance went wide left on David Colombo's header from the right post two minutes later.

Brogan finished with seven stops for the Pacers. Arcadia's Chris Watson totaled 10 saves for the Knights.

Marywood held a 24-20 advantage in shots for the match. Arcadia had a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.

The Pacers travel down Interstate 81 to face Wilkes University Saturday at 7:00 pm in Edwardsville.
