Pacers Win Fourth Straight, Down Cedar Crest 7-2

Allentown, PA - Marywood University remained unbeaten in CSAC play with their fourth straight victory, a 7-2 decision over host Cedar Crest College Sunday afternoon in women's tennis action.  Marywood stands at 5-1 (4-0 CSAC) on the year while the Falcons slipped to 2-3 (1-2 CSAC).

Avery McCall and Devon Underwood improved to 3-0 in the CSAC as the number one doubles duo for the Pacers with a 8-1 win.  Abygail Doud and Melanie Kobela improved to 3-0 in the league at #2 doubles with a 8-4 win, but Cedar Crest made earned their first point of the match with a 9-7 win at #3 doubles.

In singles action, Jamie Wojciechoski beat McCall 6-3, 7-5 in the top singles flight while Doud was a winner over Emily Bryk in a second set tie-breaker, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2).  At #3 singles, Underwood was a 6-0, 6-0 winner while Kobela earned a 6-3, 6-0 victory for the Pacers at #4 singles.

Nicole Sinclair rebounded from the #3 doubles loss with partner Devin Zombek with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at #5 singles and Shannon Spencer closed out the Pacers' win with a 6-3, 6-0 win at #6 singles.

Marywood returns to action Friday with a non-conference match at King's at 5:00 pm before hosting Keystone Saturday at 1:00 pm.
