Scranton, PA – Leanne McManus scored a hat trick to lead Marywood University to a 6-1 victory over Morrisville State College Saturday in non-conference field hockey. With six points, McManus is 11 shy of becoming just the second Pacer to reach the 100 Point Club for her career.

Tori Jo Kakusian scored a pair of goals for the Pacers to up her season total to six. Gabbie Bower added a goal and an assist. Meredith Yozwiak and Julie Kowalski supplied an assist.

Nicole Merrill earned the victory with five saves. Her counterpart Liz Leva made 13 saves.

Marywood scored its first two in penalty stroke fashion. Kakusian put the Pacers ahead at the 13:28 mark. McManus tallied another four minutes later to supply a 2-0 lead.

McManus found the back of the cade at the 24:24 mark on a sweeping pass from Yozwiak. Just 58 seconds later, Kakusian lasered a shot from the top of the box from a Kowalski pass. McManus capped the hat trick on a penalty corner with 2:30 left in the first half, hitting the right side of the cage off a Bower penalty corner.

After Morrisville State's Scarlett Kroger ended the scoreless drought from an Allyson Flurer pass to center, Bower totaled her third of the season at the 57:05.
Forced to play with a kicking back in the cage for five minutes, the Mustangs' Kat Kilmer made three defensive saves. Nicole Greiner also added a defensive save.

Marywood hosts crosstown foe The University of Scranton Tuesday night at 7:00 pm.
