Scranton, PA - Marywood University's women's soccer team recorded their third straight win, all in shutout fashion, as the Pacers blanked visiting Summit University 4-0 Tuesday afternoon in CSAC action.  The Pacers (4-5-1, 3-1 CSAC) got two goals and an assist from Megan Swiecicki in the win.

Marywood scored two goals in each half and out-shot Summit (2-6, 0-3 CSAC) 39-9 on the day.  The Defenders' Elysia Hinkel made 14 saves and other defenders made two team saves as Marywood had a 20-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Swiecicki opened the scoring at the end of the 7th minute of play when she one-timed a beautiful cross from Julie Youngman.  Youngman's helper was her team-best fifth of the season.

In the 27th minute, Brianna Bruster broke a nearly two-year old scoreless streak with a beautiful 25-yard shot to the left upper 90 that Hinkel tipped but could not get all of.

Carrying that 2-0 lead into the break, Marywood put the game out of reach in the 72nd minute when Swiecicki sent in a cross just like Youngman's in the first half that Sam Lindquist touched home to put the hosts up 3-0.

Swiecicki closed the scoring two minutes later when she tracked back for a ball 25 yards out, spun to her left and chipped Hinkel for the final tally.

Aly Moyer made four stops to preserve her third straight clean sheet, her fourth shutout of the season.

Marywood is back in action Saturday with a road trip to Baltimore to take on Notre Dame of Maryland University at 1:00 pm.
